John H.
Lonnquist
Mr. Lonnquist first clerked for
the Colorado Supreme Court, and then joined a mid-sized Denver
law firm for five years before being recruited to the legal
staff of a Fortune 200 company. After two years, he
relocated to Washington, D.C. to serve as the company’s
registered lobbyist and head of its public policy arm, a
position he held for ten years. After a year in New York
as general counsel for a merchant banking firm, he returned
to Colorado and has practiced law here uninterruptedly since
1990.
Mr. Lonnquist has worked overseas for a major New York bank,
managed legal projects employing up to 100 outside litigation
attorneys, represented clients on national radio and television
programs, and has recruited and managed a first tier cadre
of lobbyists, complementing their efforts with a team of pollsters,
economic researchers, public relations specialists, lawyers,
and legislative and communications strategists.
With a practice focused in business
law, contracts, litigation, mediation, and negotiation, his
clientele derives primarily from referrals of his clients
and from other attorneys. He
takes a personal interest in the client’s broader interests
which may be affected by the legal matter of immediate concern
to the client. His counsel tends toward the practical,
not the theoretical, and is designed to serve the client beyond
current concerns.

Mr. Lonnquist received his Juris
Doctor degree, with distinction, from the University
of Nebraska College of Law, and has current membership in the
Federal Bar Association, the Colorado Bar Association, the Arapahoe
County Bar Association, and the American Association for Justice.
